Masala Dosa with Tomato Almond Chutney
Since it was World Sibling day yesterday, I decided to dedicate this dish to my younger brother whose favorite dish of all times is Masala Dosa! I am missing him as he is miles away from me right now. So I decided to make his all time favorite dish on this special day. He did get to see it in picture for now and the next time I see him, I will surely make it for him. :)Ingredients for dosa batter:
2 cups Idli Rava
1 cup urad dal
2-3 methi seeds
1 cup oats flour
Method:
Soak idli rava, urad dal along with methi seeds separately for 4-5 hours. Grind them together into a smooth paste, add oats flour and salt. You don't need to ferment this batter. You can immediately start making the dosas on the tawa.
Ingredients for Aloo sabzi:
4-5 boiled potatoes, cut in medium size
3-4 green chillies finely chopped
1 large onion finely chopped
Half inch ginger, minced
Seasonings like turmeric powder, mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal, cumin seeds and salt
Cilantro for garnish
Method:
In a pan, add 1 tbsp olive oil, temper the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal, chana dal and turmeric powder. Now add the ginger and green chillies. Fry for few minutes. Now add the onions. Saute till they become translucent. Now add the potato. Mix well. Cook for few minutes. Add cilantro for garnish.
