Parsley paneer mutter masala

Parsley Paneer Mutter Masala

This is your conventional paneer mutter masala recipe with a twist. I have added parsley in it. I wanted to experiment with it and see how it turns out. Parsley does add its unique taste to this dish and makes it different from the regular. So here is it..

You need:
200 gms paneer, cut in small cubes
1 cup boiled green peas/frozen
Paste of few almonds and 2 tbsp greek yogurt
Paste of 1 onion, 4 garlic cloves, 1/2inch ginger, 3 green chillies and 2 tomatoes
Paste of half bunch of parsley and cilantro
Seasonings like chilly powder, coriander-cumin powder, amchur masala, salt and garam masala
 Oil for cooking

Method:
In 2 tbsp oil, shallow fry the paneer pieces till they turn golden brown. Strain and keep them aside for now. In same pan, add 1 tbsp oil, add the onion paste. Cook till the ol leaves the sides. Now add the almond paste. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Now add the parsley-cilantro paste. Cook till the raw smell goes away and the oil starts to leave the sides. Now add the seasonings, followed by the green peas. Add little water as this mixture will thicken due to the almond-curd paste in it. Mix and cook for some time till it starts boiling. Finally add the paneer. Mix well. Be careful to not break the paneer. Sprinkle cilantro on top. Serve it with wheat naan/chapati/wheat bread.
